Explanatory Note

This Order designates Bournemouth, Cambridgeshire, Dudley, Enfield, Essex, Kent, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Somerset, Suffolk, Sunderland, Wiltshire and Wolverhampton Councils (“the Institutions”) as institutions eligible for funding under Part 1 of the Education Act 1994.
As a result of this Order, the Teacher Training Agency may make grants, loans or other payments in respect of expenditure incurred or to be incurred by the Institutions for the purposes of the provision of teacher training and the provision of facilities, and the carrying on of other activities which the Institutions consider it necessary or desirable to provide or carry on for the purpose of or in connection with the provision of teacher training.
