Whereas it appears to the Secretary of State that a museum or similar institution of the description specified below has as its purpose, or one of its purposes, the preservation for the public benefit of a collection of historical, artistic or scientific interest:
Now therefore in exercise of his powers under paragraph 5 (2) and (3) of the Schedule to the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988(1) the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:
1988 c. 45. Sub-paragraphs (2) and (3) of paragraph 5 of the Schedule were inserted by section 47 of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1997 (c. 5).
