2.—(1) The Secretary of State hereby directs the Football Licensing Authority as set out in paragraph (2) below.

(2) When granting any licence to admit spectators(1) to any of the premises specified in column (1) of Schedule 1 hereto and further identified in column (2) of that Schedule by the name of the football club of which they are the home ground, it shall include a condition imposing the requirements, as respects the seating of spectators at designated football matches(2) at the said premises, specified in Schedule 2 hereto.

A “licence to admit spectators” is defined in section 1(7) of the Football Spectators Act 1989.

(2)

“Designated football match” is defined in section 1(2) of the Football Spectators Act 1989 and S.I. 1993/1691.
