ENERGY CONSERVATION
These Regulations implement Commission Directive 96/60/EC and Council Directive 92/75/EEC (on giving information about energy consumption of household appliances) in relation to the mains electric household combined washer-driers described in regulation 3.

The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2)(a) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to energy labelling and standard product information for household products, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of that Act and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
