Amendment of Establishment Order

2.  For Article 3 of the Glan Hafren National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1996(1) there shall be substituted the following Article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

3.(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be—

(a)to own and manage under section 5(1)(a) of the Act hospital accommodation and services provided at Royal Gwent Hospital, Cardiff Road, Newport, Gwent NP9 2UB and associated hospitals (including the management of its teaching and research facilities);

(b)to manage under section 5(1)(a) of the Act community health services provided from Royal Gwent Hospital, Cardiff Road, Newport, Gwent NP9 2UB and to own the associated premises;

(c)to provide and manage under section 5(1)(b) of the Act hospital accommodation and services at Chepstow Neighbourhood Health Unit, Chepstow; and

(d)to manage under section 5(1)(b) of the Act community health services provided from all or any of the following premises—

(i)Chepstow Neighbourhood Health Unit, Chepstow

(ii)7 Sandpiper Way, Dyffryn, Newport, and

(iii)Oakfield Street Surgery, Ystrad Mynach

and to provide the associated premises..
