The East Surrey and Sutton District Water (Amendment of Local Enactments Etc.) Order 1996

Made

22nd March 1996

Coming into force

1st April 1996

Whereas provision is made in relation to East Surrey Water plc (“East Surrey”) and The Sutton District Water Plc (“Sutton”) in local statutory provisions;

And whereas with effect from 1st April 1996 the Director General of Water Services has made a variation under section 8 of the Water Industry Act 1991(1) replacing Sutton as a water undertaker;

And whereas by virtue of that variation East Surrey will hold an appointment as the water undertaker for the whole of the area for which East Surrey and Sutton each hold appointments as water undertakers;
