1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Grants) (Purcell School) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 27th March 1996.
2. The Secretary of State may before 31st March 1996 pay a grant of such amount as she may determine to the governors of the Purcell School, Harrow (“the School”) in respect of expenditure to be incurred by the governors on or in connection with the purchase of premises to accommodate the School at a different site, or in connection with the transfer of the School to those premises.
3. The payment of grant under these Regulations shall be dependent on the fulfilment of such conditions as may be specified by the Secretary of State.
4. Where grant is paid under these Regulations the governors of the School shall comply with such requirements (including requirements as to the repayment of grant or the payment to the Secretary of State of other sums representing the value of the premises purchased with the aid of grant or interest on sums due to her) as may be specified by the Secretary of State.

These Regulations authorise the Secretary of State to pay before 31st March 1996 a grant to the governors of the Purcell School, Harrow, to help meet the expenditure to be incurred by them in acquiring and transferring to new premises for the School. Payment is subject to such conditions and requirements as the Secretary of State may specify.
