(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These regulations supersede the Industrial and Provident Societies (Credit Unions) (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1995. They generally increase the fees to be paid for matters to be transacted under the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts 1965 and 1967 and the Credit Unions Act 1979. The revised fees more closely equate to the cost of delivering the services to which they relate and, as a result, some fees have been increased substantially whilst others have remained the same or have been reduced. Entirely new fees are introduced for the approval of model rules.
