The Energy Information (Washing Machines) Regulations 1996

1.  Mail order catalogues and other printed communications referred to in regulation 12 (printed communications) shall contain the following information, given in the order specified below:

(a) energy efficiency class in accordance with paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 2 (energy efficiency class);

(b) energy consumption in accordance with paragraph 1(5) of that Schedule (energy consumption);

(c) washing performance class in accordance with paragraph 1(6) of that Schedule (washing performance);

(d) Spin drying efficiency class in accordance with paragraph 1(7) of that Schedule (drying performance);

(e) maximum spin speed in accordance with paragraph 1(9) of that Schedule (maximum spin speed);

(f) capacity in accordance with paragraph 1(10) of that Schedule (capacity);

(g) water consumption in accordance with paragraph 1(11) of that Schedule (water consumption);

(h) estimated annual consumption for a four person household, in accordance with paragraph 1(13) of that Schedule (typical annual consumption);

(i) where applicable, noise, in accordance with paragraph 1(14) of that Schedule (noise).
