The Driving Licences (Designation of Relevant External Law) Order 1996

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 88(8)(1) and 89(2)(c) of the Road Traffic Act 1988(2), hereby makes the following Order:—

(1)

See the definition of “relevant external law”.

(2)

1988 c. 52. Section 88(8) was inserted by section 3(5) of the Road Traffic (Driver Licensing and Information Systems) Act 1989 (c. 22); section 89(2) was substituted by section 4(3) of that Act and amended by the Driving Licences (Community Driving Licence) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/1974).
