The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 35(7), 40(1) and (2), 56(3), 118(1)(a), 123(3), 124(1)(1) and 174(2) and (3) of the Pensions Act 1995(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted such persons as he considered appropriate(3), hereby makes the following Regulations:

Section 124(1) is cited because of the meaning there given to “prescribed” and “regulations”.
