21. In section 8 of the Inheritance Tax Act 1984 (indexation of rate bands)—
(a)for the words “Central Statistical Office of the Chancellor of the Exchequer”(1) there shall be substituted the words “Office for National Statistics”; and
(b)for the words “that Department” there shall be substituted the words “that Office”.
These words were substituted by the Transfer of Functions (Economic Statistics) Order 1989 (S.I. 1989/992), Sched. 2, para. 5.
