Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 135(1), 137(1) and 175(1) and (3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19921, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it2, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Income Support (General) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 8th November 1996.
Amendment of regulation 21 of the Income Support (General) Regulations 19872
In paragraph (3A) of regulation 21 of the Income Support (General) Regulations 19873 (applicable amounts for persons in residential accommodation), the words from “and the local authority” to the end of the paragraph shall be omitted.
