Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order extends until 16th July 1997 the period specified in section 1(4) of the Northern Ireland Act 1974 (as extended by the Northern Ireland Act 1974 (Interim Period Extension) Order 1995 (S.I. 1995/1895)) for the operation of the temporary provisions for the government of Northern Ireland contained in Schedule 1 to that Act.
