In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 19(3) of, and paragraph 10(2) to (4) of Schedule 2 to, the Education (Schools) Act 1992(1) and sections 210(2) to (4), 211(3)(a) and 301(6) of the Education Act 1993(2), the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Regulations:

1992 c. 38. A new paragraph 10 of Schedule 2 was substituted by paragraph 173(6) of Schedule 19 to the Education Act 1993 (c. 35). For the meaning of “prescribed”, see section 18(1).
