6. In section 142(1)—
(a)after the definition of “parking meter” there shall be inserted—
““permitted parking area” means the area designated as a permitted parking area by the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Hampshire, City of Winchester) Order 1996;”; and
(b)after the definition of “road” there shall be inserted—
““special parking area” means the area designated as a special parking area by the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Hampshire, City of Winchester) Order 1996;”.
