Whereas a draft of this Order has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament under section 15 of the Miners' Welfare Act 1952:
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 12(3) and 15 of the Miners' Welfare Act 1952(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1952 c. 23. Section 12(3) has effect as modified by section 22(3) of the Coal Industry Act 1994 c. 21.
