Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order, which supersedes the Land Registration (District Registries) Order 1991, alters the areas served by the Gloucester, Plymouth, Portsmouth and Weymouth District Land Registries by transferring responsibility for the registration of titles:—
(a)in South Gloucestershire and Bristol from the Plymouth to the Gloucester District Land Registry;
(b)in Wiltshire from the Gloucester to the Weymouth District Land Registry;
(c)in West Sussex from the Weymouth to the Portsmouth District Land Registry.
The districts of the remaining district registries at Birkenhead, Coventry, Croydon, Durham, Harrow, Kingston upon Hull, Leicester, Lytham, Nottingham, Peterborough, Stevenage, Swansea, Telford, Tunbridge Wells and York are unaltered.
