The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 52 and 60(1)(e) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 61(2) of that Act and with the Council on Tribunals in accordance with section 8 of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1992(2), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1981 c. 14; section 14 was amended by Schedule 2, Part II, paragraphs 4(1) and (5) to the Transport Act 1985 (c. 67) ("the 1985 Act"); section 16(1) was amended by Schedule 2, Part II paragraphs (1) and (7) and Schedule 7 paragraphs 21(1) and (4) to the 1985 Act; section 52 was amended by Schedule 2, Part II, paragraph 4(14) and Schedule 8 to the 1985 Act and by section 66 of the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994 (c. 40); and section 60(1) was amended by section 134(1) of, and Schedule 2 Part II, paragraph 4(18), Schedule 7 paragraph 21(9) and Schedule 8, to the 1985 Act and by section 66(5) of the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994.
