SCHEDULE 8Transitional provisions: Competitive tendering
The Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 (Competition) (Wales) Regulations 1994
1. The Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 (Competition) (Wales) Regulations 1994(1) shall apply to a National Park authority as if it were a local authority for the purposes of those Regulations.
The Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (Wales) Order 1994
2. The Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (Wales) Order 1994(2) shall apply to a National Park authority as if it were a defined authority to which that Order applies by virtue of paragraph (a) of Regulation 3 (Application).

S.I 1994/338. By virtue of paragraph 8(1) of Schedule 8 to the 1995 Act, Part III of the said Act of 1980 has effect as if a National Park authority were a local authority for the purposes of that Part.
(2)
S.I. 1994/339. By virtue of paragraph 8(2) of Schedule 8 to the 1995 Act a National Park authority is a defined authority for the purposes of the provisions of the said Act of 1988 relating to competition.
