The Coal Industry (Abolition of Domestic Coal Consumers' Council) Order 1995

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 24(1) of the Coal Industry Act 1994(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Coal Industry (Abolition of Domestic Coal Consumers' Council) Order 1995.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Coal Industry Act 1994.

Appointed day for abolition of Domestic Coal Consumers' Council

2.  The day appointed under section 24(1) of the Act as the day on which the Domestic Coal Consumers' Council shall cease to exist shall be 1st March 1995.

This Order appoints 1st March 1995 as the date for the abolition of the Domestic Coal Consumers' Council in accordance with section 24 of the Coal Industry Act 1994.
