The Secretary of State for Wales makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred upon him by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1) and of all other enabling powers:—

1.  The length of trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall become an unclassi fi ed road as from the date this Order comes into force.

2.  In this Order:—

All measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway:

(i)“the deposited plan” means the plan numbered HA10/2 WO112 marked |doquote The Chester ndash Bangor Trunk Road (A55) (Aber Improvement) Detrunking Order 1995|dcquote| signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Wales and deposited at the Welsh Of fi ce Repository, Curran Embankment, Cardiff.

(ii)“the trunk road” means the Chester ndash Bangor Trunk Road (A55).

3.  This Order shall come into force on 23rd February 1995 and may be cited as The Chester ndash Bangor Trunk Road (A55) (Aber Improvement) Detrunking Order 1995.

SCHEDULETHE LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The length of trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is the length which commences from a point 110 metres east of the trunk road junction with Station Road in the village of Abergwyngregyn which extends in a westerly direction for a distance of about 140 metres across the frontage of the property known as Llys Onnen, and St Bodfan’s church to a point at and including the junction of Henfford Road approximately 54 metres northwest of the northwest corner of St Bodfan’s Church in the village of Abergwyngregyn.
