Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order increases the annual fees for diocesan registrars fixed by the Legal Officers (Annual Fees) Order 1994 and makes minor changes to the list of duties covered by those annual fees. It also adds new items (relating to the removal of the legal effects of consecration of land or a building, visitations of cathedral churches and action taken or proposed to be taken by a bishop under the Care of Churches (Supplementary Provisions) Measure 1994) to the list of work which is not covered by the annual fee, and for which a fee calculated accordance with the Solicitors' (Non-Contentious Business) Remuneration Order 1994 is to be paid.
The Order also fixed new annual fees for the provincial registrars.
The Order will come into force on 1st January 1996.
