2. Section 212(3) of and Schedule 17 to the Act shall come into force on 19th June 1995 to the extent necessary to repeal—
(a)Part III of and Schedule 3 to the Companies Act 1985(1), and in Schedule 22 to that Act the entry relating to Part III, and in Schedule 24 to that Act the entries relating to sections 56(4), 61, 64(5), 70(1) and 78(1), for all remaining purposes except—
(i)sections 58, 59 and 60 of the Companies Act 1985, in so far as it is necessary for the purposes of sections 81, 83, 246, 248 and 744 of that Act; and
(ii)paragraph 2 of Schedule 3 to the Companies Act 1985, in so far as it is necessary for the purposes of section 83(1)(a) of that Act; and
(iii)section 62 of the Companies Act 1985, in so far as it is necessary for purposes of section 744 of that Act; and
(b)the corresponding provisions of the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986(2), for corresponding purposes.
