5. In relation to the following tests, the methods for the analysis and testing shall be those specified below—

(e) Enumeration of Escherichia coli in milk-based products | Provisional IDF standard 170: 1994. Milk and milk products—Enumeration of presumptive Escherichia coli content by: (i) Most probable number technique. (ii) most probable number technique with use of 4-methylumbelliferyl –β –D–glucuronide (MUG). (iii) Colony count technique at 44°C using membranes. |
