7.—(1) Sub-paragraph (2) below shall have effect notwithstanding the amendments made to section 50(1) of the Education (No.2) Act 1986 by section 278(6) of the Act and the repeal in section 50(3)(c) of that Act of the words “local education authorities”.
(2) The Education (Training Grants) Regulations 1993(1), which were made under section 50 of the Education (No.2) Act 1986(2), shall continue to have effect on and after 1st April 1994 in so far as they relate to the payment of grant on and after that date, or grant paid before that date, in respect of expenditure incurred on or before 31st March 1994.
