Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations introduce charges for the parking of vehicles in short-term (2 hours) and long-term (4 hours) parking places in Hyde Park and The Regent’s Park during the times referred to in regulation 3. Within those times vehicles may only be parked in such places if a valid parking ticket is displayed. The charge for parking is £1.50 per hour or part thereof. If a vehicle is parked for longer than the permitted short-term or long-term period or if it fails to display a valid parking ticket the person who parked the vehicle will be subject to an excess charge of £30. The Regulations also prohibit parking in the Outer Circle of The Regent’s Park during the hours referred to in regulation 5.
