Policing of Docklands Light Railway

9.—(1) The Railways Board may make an agreement with the Company for making available to the Company or to any part of the Group for such a period, to such extent and on such terms as may be specified in the agreement, the services of the British Transport Police Force.

(2) Where such an agreement has been made, members of the British Transport Police Force may act in accordance with the terms of the agreement as constables in, on and in the vicinity of any premises of the Company which are occupied in connection with the provision of train services by the Company or, as the case may be, a member of the Group, including a train, notwithstanding the provisions of section 53(1) (as to appointment of constables) of the British Transport Commission Act 1949(1).
