2.—(1) The Local Authorities (Funds) (Wales) Regulations 1992(1) (“the 1992 Regulations”) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2(1)–

(a)in the definition of “principal authority”, after “relevant major precepting authority” there shall be inserted “, its relevant police authority”;

(b)after the definition of “relevant major precepting authority” there shall be inserted–

  • “relevant police authority”, in relation to a billing authority, means the police authority established under section 3 of the Police Act 1964(2) having power to issue a precept to that billing authority;;

(c)in the definition of “relevant precepting authority”, after “relevant major precepting authority” there shall be inserted “, its relevant police authority”.

(3) In regulation 2(2), after sub-paragraph (a) there shall be inserted–

(aa)pay anything from its collection fund in respect of any precept issued by its relevant police authority under Part I of the 1992 Act(3), after taking into account any amount credited by that police authority under section 42(4) of that Act,.

(4) In regulation 6(1), after “relevant major precepting authority” there shall be inserted “and its relevant police authority”.
