Commencing on the eastern boundary of ED 16 (West Nithsdale) at the confluence of the River Nith and Barrows Burn at grid reference NX 9785 7834 then generally northward and eastward along the southern boundary of ED 17 (Locharbriggs) to the eastern boundary of Nithsdale District; then generally southward along the said boundary to its intersection with the minor road from Collin to Linn’s Farm at grid reference NY 0454 7678; then generally southwestward along the said road to and along the minor road leading northward past Trabeattie to an unnamed burn running westward just north of Trabeattie; then generally westward along the said burn to its intersection with the minor road leading from Collin to Roucan; then generally northward along the said road to the A709 road and generally westward along the said road to the A75(T) Dumfries By-Pass; then generally northwestward along the said road to its intersection with the River Nith; then generally northward along the River Nith to the point of commencement.
