Consequential changes in electoral arrangements
5. The area described in the Schedule to this Order (being the area transferred by article 4 of this Order)—
(a)shall cease to form part of electoral division 11 (Stewartry North) of Dumfries and Galloway Region(1) and ward 7 (Glenkens) of Stewartry District(2); and
(b)shall form part of electoral division 103 (New Cumnock and Doon Valley) of Strathclyde Region(3) and ward 7 (Dalmellington) of Cumnock and Doon Valley District(4).

The electoral divisions of Dumfries and Galloway Region were constituted by S.I. 1977/1986, to which there are amendments not relevant to this Order.
(2)
The wards of Stewartry District were constituted by S.I. 1978/1641.
(3)
The electoral divisions of Strathclyde Region were constituted by S.I. 1979/673, to which there are amendments not relevant to this Order.
(4)
The wards of Cumnock and Doon Valley District were constituted by S.I. 1981/1490.
