The Friendly Societies Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 44(8) of the Friendly Societies Act 1992(1) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Friendly Societies (Qualifications of Actuaries) Regulations 1993, and shall come into force on 19th February 1993.
2. It is prescribed that a person qualified for appointment as actuary to an incorporated friendly society under section 44 of the Friendly Societies Act 1992 shall be a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or of the Faculty of Actuaries and shall have attained the age of 30 years.
In witness whereof the common seal of the Friendly Societies Commission is hereunto fixed, and is authenticated by me, a person authorised under paragraph 13 of Schedule 1 to the Friendly Societies Act 1992, on

These Regulations prescribe the qualifications to be held by actuaries appointed by incorporated friendly societies under section 44 of the Friendly Societies Act 1992.
