3. The Assistance for Minor Works to Dwellings Regulations 1990(1)are amended—
(a)in paragraph (1)(c) of regulation 4 (persons to whom assistance may be given), by substituting for the words “or community charge benefit (within the meaning of section 20 of the Social Security Act 1986)”(2) the words “, council tax benefit or disability working allowance (within the meaning of Part VII of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992)”(3);
(b)in paragraph (2) of regulation 5 (dealing with applications), by substituting for the words “regulation 6” the words “regulations 6 and 7”;
(c)in regulation 6 (amount of assistance)—
(i)in paragraph (1), by substituting for the words “The total” the words “Subject to regulation 7, the total”; and
(ii)in paragraphs (2) and (3), by substituting “£1,080” for “£1,000”; and
(d)by adding, after regulation 6, the following—
7. The sum determined for the purposes of paragraph (b) of section 131(2) of the Act (sum which total amount or value of assistance given under section 131 of the Act in any period of three years in respect of any one dwelling must not exceed) is £3,240.”.

1992 c. 4. References in Part VII of that Act to council tax benefit are substituted for references to community charge benefit by Schedule 9 to the Local Government Finance Act 1992 (c. 14). See also section 118(4) of that Act.
