The routes of the new trunk roads are near Danaway and Key Street, near Sittingbourne, in the County of Kent, and are as follows—
1. A route about 2.09 kilometres in length starting at and including a roundabout on the site of the existing roundabout junction between the A249 and the M2 (at Stockbury Valley) and proceeding northeastwards, passing northwest of Danaway, to a point on the trunk road 580 metres northeast of its junction with Wormdale Hill, the new trunk road along this route being labelled A on the deposited plan.
2. A route about 1.27 kilometres in length starting at a point on the trunk road 20 metres south of its roundabout junction with the A2 (at Key Street) and proceeding northeastwards to a point on the road to be constructed by the Secretary of State in pursuance of the A249 Iwade Bypass Order 1992(1) (described in paragraph 1 of the Schedule to that Order), 500 metres northeast of its crossing of the London—Sittingbourne railway and just northeast of Bobbing County Primary School, the new trunk road along this route being labelled B on the deposited plan.
