The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10(1), 52(1)(a) and 60 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981(1) and by the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988(2), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 61(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1981 c. 14; section 52(1) was amended by the Transport Act 1985 (c. 67) (“the 1985 Act”), Schedule 1, para.7, Schedule 2, Part II, para. 4(14) and Schedule 8; section 60(1) was amended by the 1985 Act, section 134(2), Schedule 2, para.4(18) and Schedule 8; and section 61(2) by the 1985 Act, Schedule 8.

S.I.1988/643, which was made under section 102 of the Finance (No. 2) Act 1987 (c. 51).The relevant references in S.I.1988/643 are items 1 and 2A of Table V of Schedule 1.
