The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 89(1) and 91(1) of the Transport Act 1968(1), and now vested in him(2), and the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988(3), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 91(8) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1968 c. 73; section 89(1) was amended by Part II of Schedule 9 to the Transport Act 1980 (c. 34) (“the 1980 Act”), and by Schedule 6 to the Transport Act 1982 (c. 49) (“the 1982 Act”); section 91(1) was amended by Part II of Schedule 9 to the 1980 Act, and by Part II of Schedule 4 to the 1982 Act.

S.I. 1970/1681, 1979/571 and 1981/238.

S.I. 1988/643, which was made under the Finance (No. 2) Act 1987 (c. 51). The relevant reference in S.I. 1988/643 is Table I of Schedule 1.
