The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 27(2) and (3) of the Football Spectators Act 1989(1) hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Football Spectators Act 1989 (Commencement No.4) Order 1993.
2. Section 9 of the Football Spectators Act 1989 shall come into force on 1st August 1993.

This Order brings into force on 1st August 1993 section 9 of the Football Spectators Act 1989 which makes it an offence to admit spectators to watch a football match designated under that Act unless the premises where the match is played are licensed under that Act by the Football Licensing Authority.
