Explanatory Note

This Order transfers on 1st April 1992 between City of Edinburgh District and Midlothian District in Lothian Region, certain areas of land totalling approximately 185.3 hectares lying adjacent to the Edinburgh City By-pass, and makes consequential changes to electoral arrangements.
The maps annexed to and forming part of this note give a general guide to the areas affected by this Order.
Copies of the detailed boundary maps defined in article 2 of this Order may be inspected at the offices of any of the local authorities referred to in this Order, and may be inspected at or purchased from the Scottish Office Central Services Map Library, New St Andrew’s House, St James Centre, Edinburgh EH1 3SZ.
