2.  The licence granted under section 7 of the Telecommunications Act 1984(1) to any public telecommunications operator within the meaning of section 9 of that Act shall from the date of coming into force of these Regulations have inserted, at the end of the condition requiring the provision of public emergency call services, an additional paragraph in the following terms:–

  • The Public Emergency Call Service which the Licensee is required to provide by this condition shall additionally be capable of being accessed by any member of the public by dialling the number 112.
