ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

These Regulations create the United Kingdom Ecolabelling Board and give it the functions of the competent body for the United Kingdom for the purposes of Council Regulation (EEC) 880/92 (OJ No. L99, 11.4.92, p.1). The Board will be responsible in the United Kingdom for the award of labels to products which have a reduced environmental impact during their entire life cycle.
