The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him(2), and of all other enabling powers:—

1.  The London—Carlisle—Glasgow—Inverness Trunk Road (Cavendish Bridge and Shardlow Diversion) Order 1938(3) is hereby revoked.

2.  This Order shall come into force on 14th February 1992 and may be cited as the London—Carlisle—Glasgow—Inverness Trunk Road (Cavendish Bridge and Shardlow Diversion) Order 1938 (Revocation) Order 1992.
