2. Regulation 6 (Disabilities) of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Large Goods and Passenger-Carrying Vehicles) Regulations 1990(1) shall be amended by the substitution for paragraph (1)(b)(ii) of the following paragraphs—
“(ii)in the case of a person who did not hold an existing licence on 1st January 1983 but who held a licence or an existing licence on 1st March 1992, the visual acuity is worse than 6/9 in the better eye and worse than 6/12 in the other eye and, if corrective lenses are worn, the uncorrected acuity in each eye is worse than 3/60, or
(iii)in any other case, the visual acuity is worse than 6/9 in the better eye or worse than 6/12 in the other eye or, if corrective lenses have tobe worn to ensure that the visual acuity in one eye or both eyes is no worse than 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the other eye, the uncorrected acuity in each eye is worse than 3/60;”.
