Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (Capital Finance) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 1st April 1991.

(2) In these Regulations–

“the 1989 Act” means the Local Government and Housing Act 1989; and

“the Authority” means the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.

Prescribed body

2.  The Authority, being a levying body within the meaning of section 74 of the Local Government Finance Act 1988(1), is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 39(l)(k) of the 1989 Act.

Modification of Part IV

3.  In relation to the Authority, Part IV of the 1989 Act shall have effect–

(a)with the substitution for each reference to the year 1990 of a reference to the year 1991; and

(b)with the additional modifications contained in Part I of the Schedule to these Regulations.

Amendments to Regulations

4.  The Local Authorities (Capital Finance) (Approved Investments) Regulations 1990(2), the Local Authorities (Capital Finance) Regulations 1990(3) and the Local Authorities (Borrowing) Regulations 1990(4) shall have effect in relation to the Authority as amended by Part II of the Schedule to these Regulations.
