The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of powers conferred by sections 191(1)(b) and (5) of the Water Act 1989(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby orders as follows:

Citations, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Wrexham and East Denbighshire Water Order 1991 and shall come into force on 27th January 1992.

(2) The Wrexham and East Denbighshire Water Acts and Orders 1864 to 1983 and this Order may be cited together as the Wrexham and East Denbighshire Water Acts and Orders 1864 to 1991.

(3) In this Order “the Company” means the Wrexham and East Denbighshire Water Company.

Ordinary meeting

2.—(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Companies Clauses Consolidation Act 1845(2) or in any other enactment relating to the Company, the ordinary general meeting of the Company shall be held in each year after the year ninenteen hundred and ninety one in the month of July, or in such other month as the directors may from time to time appoint.

(2) Section 9 of the Wrexham and East Denbighshire Water (No. 2) Order 1954(3) is hereby repealed.
