ROAD TRAFFIC

This Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3(2) and (3) and 80(2) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981—abolishes the Metropolitan Traffic Area;alters the limits of the North-Western Traffic Area, the North-Eastern Traffic Area, the Eastern Traffic Area, the Western Traffic Area, and the area previously known as the South-Eastern Traffic Area;changes the name of the South-Eastern Traffic Area so that it will be known as the South-Eastern and Metropolitan Traffic Area;contains transitional and consequential provisions; andrevokes the Traffic Areas (Reorganisation) (No. 2) Order 1983.
