Revocation and savings

39.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Town and Country Planning (Structure and Local Plans) Regulations 1982(1), the Town and Country Planning (Local Plans for Greater London) Regulations 1983(2), the Town and Country Planning (Structure and Local Plans) (Amendment) Regulations 1984(3), paragraphs 8 to 14 of Schedule l to the Town and Country Planning (Local Government Reorganisation) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 1986(4), the Town and Country Planning (Structure and Local Plans) (Amendment) Regulations 1987(5) and the Town and Country Planning (Unitary Development Plans) Regulations 1988(6) are hereby revoked.

(2) The Town and Country Planning (Structure and Local Plans) Regulations 1982 shall continue to apply for the purpose of the preparation and adoption or approval of a local plan under the old law in accordance with paragraph 43 of Schedule 4 to the 1991 Act.

(3) In paragraph (2), “old law” has the meaning given to that expression in paragraph 40 of that Schedule.
