The EC mark on a vessel of any series consists of the symbol “CE” of which a form is shown for the purposes of illustration below, the last two digits of the year in which the mark is affixed, and (where applicable) the distinguishing number assigned, under Article 9.1 of the Directive, to the approved body responsible for EC verification or EC surveillance in the case of vessels of that series.
