A route about 5 kilometres in length, starting at a point on the A421 Kempston Southern Relief Road, about 350 metres east of the Bedford–Bletchley railway line, proceeding in an easterly direction to the north of Medbury Lane in Elstow and south of Duchess Road in Eastcotts before swinging in a north-easterly direction and terminating on the eastern side of its junction with the slip road given the reference number 10 on the plan (at a point about 250 metres south-west of the junction of the A5134 road and the A603 Cardington Road). The route includes one roundabout located adjacent to its western end.
