The Dog Racecourse Totalisator (Percentage) Order 1991

In pursuance of paragraph 3 of Schedule 5 to the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963(1), I hereby make the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the Dog Racecource Totalisator (Percentage) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 20th December 1991.

2.  A percentage of 29 per cent. is hereby specified for the purposes of sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 3 of Schedule 5 to the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 (which relates to the maximum percentage which may be deducted by the operator from amounts staked on a totalisator on a dog racecourse).

3.  The Dog Racecourse Totalisator (Percentage) Order 1980(2) is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order has the effect of increasing from 17½ per cent. to 29 per cent. the percentage which the operator of a totalisator on a dog racecourse is permitted to deduct from the amounts staked.
