Made

Laid before Parliament

18th November 1991

Coming into force

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 50 and 63 of the Education (No. 2) Act 1986(1), the Secretary of State for Education and Science, as respects England and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, hereby make the following Regulations:

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend regulation 7(3) of the Education (Bursaries for Teacher Training) Regulations 1988 so that the conditions introduced by the Education (Bursaries for Teacher Training) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 for payment of the extra allowance of £500 a year for intending teachers of physics are removed. The allowance may now be paid in respect of attendance at courses designed to prepare persons to teach pupils either aged 11 or 16 or of all ages in secondary schools and the principal subject matter of which is physics.
